Cyber safety talk

On Monday 1st May, 2017, we went to a police talk. Darren told us what the dangers are with social media.
We learnt:
1. Not to friend people who we haven't spoken to face to face.
2. Musical.ly is one of the most dangerous social medias of them all.
3. You MUST BE 13+ to use social media.

Similes

A simile is a way of writing that compares one thing to another. We use them to show a better picture in the reader's mind.
...as blue as the sea. - Bella

...like magic. - Holly

... like a tiger pouncing. - Matthew

... like a mini waterfall. -Lincoln

... as fast as a rocket. -Treay

...as big as a hippo. - Harrison

Cross Country

The fantastic Maryland students ran 2kms and 3kms depending on their ages. The 8, 9 and 10 year old's had to run 4 laps and the 11 year old's had to run 6 laps.

"I loved running with my friend Fenella." - Holly

"The best part of it, I reckon, was the movie." - Harrison

"The run was quite tiring." - Sam

"The best part was when we went running down the hill." - Taj

Today is the cross country zone carnival. Only the people who came first, second, third or fourth went to the zone carnival. Latesha, Treay, Roy, Matilda, Brodie and Aiden were the students that went to the zone carnival from our class.

Open letter to S2/3N

To all of the amazing students of S2/3N,
Our devices and the use of technology in the room has opened up a whole new world to us. So, let’s share it with everyone.
This blog is all yours. It’s a platform that will allow you to share the brilliant work you have been doing as well as stories, photos and maybe even some great jokes.
After a few weeks of “Blog Training” teams of students will have the opportunity each week to post photos and reports about our school adventures and activities.
It will be a wonderful learning experience for everyone involved.
I know you will have fun working together on our class blog.
From Ms Curtis
