Reading buddies. Where do we read?

S2D and S2/3N have been reading in different areas on Monday afternoons. Some groups read in the Sensory Garden while others read in the classroom. Some people read at a desk and others sit on the floor. Every Monday we choose a different partner to read with in different areas. Sometimes we have a group of three. In S2/3N we now have a blue lounge and groups are allowed to read on it. It's sooooo comfy.

Water Safety Talk

Water Safety
This term Maryland Public School had lifeguards from Newcastle beaches come to remind us about water safety at beaches and pools. They told us not to swim in places where you cannot see the bottom and also where no lifegaurd or parent is watching. They showed us some videos about water safety. We looked at some posters and flags. They told us a rhyme which goes like this: Slip, Slop, slap, Seek and slide.

The Machine

The mashing and pulverising machine. Have you heard of it before? Probably not. Its from Andy Griffiths' and Terry Denton's Just Macbeth. Each of the students from S2/3N created their own versions of the mashing and pulverising machine down below. Have a look at them all in your own time and please comment if you think they're good.
